Summary

Pros

Shooting in Portrait mode keeps the subject in sharp focus. The background is blurry and doesnt distract from the main subject.

Cons

It is difficult to shoot using Portait mode in low lighting conditions.

Due to the shallow depth of field, it is easy to get the incorrect subject in focus.

Portrait mode cannot effectively be used where you need a lot of detail that is in sharp focus.
